  1. the love or fondness for women.

Extensive Definition

Philogyny is fondness towards women, love or admiration for them. An antonym of misogyny.
Cicero reports the word could be used in Greek philosophy to denote being over-fond of women, a disease comparable with the disease of misogyny.
In addition, the other two connotations in terms of men are as follows: since the word "man" or, in Greek, "anér-andros" has its form as "andr-ia" in its word combination, Philandry is fondness towards men, whereas Misandry is the hatred of men.
